What makes FishHawk home

FishHawk is one of the standout master-planned communities in the Tampa Bay region. Built around a network of parks, trails, pools, and gathering spaces, it has attracted families looking for a tight-knit suburban environment with strong schools and active community life.

The community's schools, sports leagues, and HOA-driven events create a rhythm where families know each other and kids spend their afternoons outside. The retail and dining clusters along Lithia-Pinecrest Road give residents convenient access to daily needs without losing the neighborhood feel.

FishHawk residents have been hit especially hard by Florida's homeowners insurance crisis — the same families who chose the community for its quality of life are now facing premium increases that threaten that very quality of life. It is a community where federal-level reform on insurance, taxes, and inflation would land directly on family budgets.

Federal stakes for FishHawk

What Washington decides shapes daily life here.

  • Property insurance reform — FishHawk premiums have climbed sharply in recent years
  • Federal tax policy that protects family deductions and homeownership
  • Education policy that respects parental rights and school-choice flexibility
  • Inflation relief through fiscally responsible federal spending
  • Federal-aid highway funding for the Lithia-Pinecrest Road corridor

John in FishHawk

John Peters regularly meets with FishHawk residents during his weekly travels across eastern Hillsborough. He has spent years listening to FishHawk families about the squeeze of insurance premiums, education policy, and rising costs — and the gap between what Washington promises and what actually reaches local family budgets.

What FishHawk gets now

FishHawk families care about staying in the community they chose. Kathy Castor's eighteen-year record has not delivered relief from Florida's insurance crisis, and her consistent votes for federal spending have fed the inflation that erodes purchasing power. After nine terms, FishHawk deserves a representative who treats the cost-of-living squeeze as the urgent issue it is.
